Initial Inspection

The cleaning procedure begins with a thorough inspection of the carpet to identify stains and assess any general issues. Based on this assessment, the most suitable machine settings are chosen. Typically, water is heated to around 90°C, which works well for most soft floor coverings.

Adjustments for Specific Carpet Types

For carpets made from delicate fibres like wool, a lower water temperature is used to prevent shrinkage. Our trained carpet cleaners in Stockwell are adept at recognizing various carpet types and selecting the appropriate cleaning methods.

Vacuuming

Next, the carpet is vacuumed to remove accumulated dirt and dust. This step is crucial for ensuring that the carpet is properly prepared for pre-treatment.

Pre-Treatment

An eco-friendly pre-treatment spray is applied to the carpet. This spray is allowed to react with the soiled areas for 5 to 10 minutes. During this time, the steam extraction machine is prepared by filling it with water, readying it for the next step in the cleaning process.

High-Pressure Steam Application

Once the water reaches the optimal temperature, it's sprayed deeply into the carpet fibres under high pressure. This process effectively dissolves and removes stains, extracts allergens, and neutralizes odours, leaving your carpet fresh, stain-free, and fully disinfected.

Stain Protection Application

Before we complete the service, we apply a stain protection spray by ProChem. This scentless, harmless product forms an invisible layer over the carpet's surface, providing an additional shield against future stains. With this protective coating, your carpet will maintain its cleanliness longer and respond better to both domestic and professional cleaning methods.
